What do all these things have in common?
They are groups or acts carried out by radical religous people who believe they are doing favors to God. Its obvious they're not, but even they could know for sure if they followed what their own book says. That is to listen to Jesus Christ. 600 years before this radicalism emerged on our planet Jesus showed us the truth.
John 16:2 They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God.
Jesus speaking here to then Jews, and later they who became Christians. He says the time is coming, meaning it hadn't come yet, in his time Radical Islam hadn't been "invented" yet. In those days persecution of Christians and Jews wasn't uncommon, but to say: those will think they are doing a service to God. That only brings one statement to mind, "jihad", and not the inner struggle but those who wage religious war on innocent people.
Life doesn't stop for those who are killed
While Jesus was preparing his disciples for his own crucifixion, he told them a lot of important things about their troubles soon to come. John 16:33 (KJV): These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. The dictionary defines Tribulation as: Great affliction, trial, or distress; suffering. When he says be of good cheer for I have overcome the World, he is saying that your life on Earth doesn't stop at the grave when you believe in him. So we must put our faith in Christ, for the days are growing near when he returns for his bride and those who he doesn't know will perish eternally and there isn't second chances after this life.
