With the Inaccuries of carbon dating - Evolution of Man, not 100% convincing

Can a 30,000 year old pinkie finger, make a new species?
We found information which must be shared amongst Christians, skeptics, Darwinist, and Atheist's.. We quickly overlooked this a few weeks ago when Scientist said they had found a pinkie finger belonging to a 30,000 year old "Denisovans" ;a new ancestor of modern man who predates the Neathanrethal. (shown below)

An Article published today reports an incredible finding in Israel
A newly published report reveals that recently discovered human remains in a cave in central Israel may be the earliest evidence for the existence of modern man. Archaeologists from Tel Aviv University found eight teeth in Qesem Cave. The team said the discovery challenges theories of the origin of humans. Avi Gopher, who led the team, told Agence France-Presse that it calls into question the widely held view that modern humans originated in Africa. Until now, the earliest remains of modern man, or Homo sapiens, were 200,000 years old and found in East Africa. The teeth found in Israel are about 400,000 years old. "It's very exciting to come to this conclusion," Gopher said, as reported by The Associated Press. "This changes the whole picture of evolution."

Where have the Monkey Men gone?
What can we conclude from these two seperate published reports in less than a months time? First of all, is it really believable that the oldest known modern man's age just doubled that easily? And secondly, if evolution is true and this type of dating is at all accurate, how is it that a "4 generation old" human race was still alive 370,000 years after today's highly developed man existed? And lastly, it is extremely safe to say that if there were hundreds of thousands of years between one species of man while the other under-evolved species were still on our planet, than how is it that there isn't any 30, 20, or even just 10,000 year old species still alive today?

Well, they could have been wiped out by a catastrophic Global flood, but who knows?

The Suffering Servant - Jesus Christ

The Bibles been said to be 100% accurate in predicting the future. From the destruction of the Jewish temple in AD70 to the rebirth of the Nation of Israel in 1948.

What may be the most incredible example is the fulfilled prophecies of who the Jewish Messiah would be. A group of college students calculated the odds for one man to fulfill all of the Old Testament prophesies of the messiah.

(IE) First you would cover the entire state of Texas with silver dollars and mark just one. You would then walk blind folded, pick up just one, and it would be the one marked. And yet, Jesus picks up the marked silver dollar every time. Perhaps the most wonderful example in the entire Old testament is in Isiah 52-53, the suffering servant.. Who else could he possibly be writing about ?

John 19:34 the roman soldier pierces Jesus to make sure he's dead

The Suffering Servant
(written 600 years before Christ)

 13 See, my servant will act wisely;
he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.
14 Just as there were many who were appalled at him
his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being
and his form marred beyond human likeness—
15 so he will sprinkle many nations,
and kings will shut their mouths because of him.
For what they were not told, they will see,
and what they have not heard, they will understand.
1 Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
4 Surely he took up our pain
   and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
   stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
   he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
   each of us has turned to our own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
   the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
   yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished.
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the LORD makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.
11 After he has suffered,
   he will see the light of life and be satisfied;
by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.

Lunar Eclipse, Dreams, Volcanoes - even more Signs of the Times

Last night the world saw a Total Lunar Eclipse, the first to fall on the northern winter solstice in nearly 400 years! The pictures we saw reminded us of the incredible prophetic chapter in the book of Joel; it describes the coming of GOD's judgment on the Earth. While reading the captions below, keep in mind that Joel would have lived in Israel around 800 BC, he would have most likely never seen this type of eclipse and certainly not a volcano. So how was he able to describe them so vividly?  The words Joel spoke were prophetic, to describe these things, they would have to be from GOD. (on a side note if you were a prophet in those days and the things you predicted weren't true, you were killed...)  If you read carefully it seems the words were meant for an audience that belong to a time where all these events could easily be seen by the whole world. (via internet,television,technology..)
JOEL 2 - The Day of the LORD
28 “And afterward,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
29 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

Throughout the Muslim world men and women without
knowledge of the gospel or contact among Christians
have experienced dreams and visions of Jesus Christ.

30 I will show wonders in the heavens
   and on the earth,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.

Volcanic Eruptions like recently in Indonesia this picture
literally appears to be blood fire and billows of smoke..

31 The sun will be turned to darkness
   and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.

This picture from the MSNBC Photo blog says it how it is..
notice how the passage says "before the coming of the day"
32 And everyone who calls
   on the name of the LORD will be saved;
for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem
   there will be deliverance,
   as the LORD has said,
even among the survivors
   whom the LORD calls.
Paul makes the same statement in Romans 10:13
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will; be saved "
through Jesus Christ we're saved from eternal death, notice how the passage
says "even among the survivors" in reference to a second death, which is Hell.
Once again prophetic, 800 year before Jesus existence.

False Teachers - A Sign of the Times

We can all agree that the World is more crazy today then it  has ever been before. All the things that we are seeing are no doubt "the signs of the times". But One thing we can never know for sure, is the day or the hour of Christ's return. The Antichrist, the mark of the beast, and coming of Jesus Christ have been wrongly predicted numerous times in the last 100 years. Jesus warned us about false teaching in the last days, and this is a perfect example.
A group in North Carolina plans for 50 billboards to hit metro Atlanta this week,  and campaigns in other cities in December. This 'teacher' tells people to leave their churches ahead of the end date.  He  says that he arrived at the May 21, 2011, by using a mathematical calculation showing that day to be exactly 7,000 years since Noah's flood. Even then, the exact day of Noah's flood would be impossible to determine..

They justify these teachings with: 1Thessalonians 5:4, where it states "but ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief". This passage just indicates to be ready, living, and watching for Christ, so you are not living in sin when He arrives. When May 21, 2011 rolls around and Christ doesn't show, it will lead thousands to not trust Christians!

On the billboard is quoted " a wise man's discerneth both time and judgment."
This is great passage in reference to this circumstance, although not to the reference they're using but to discern these type of predictions as unbiblical..
Matthew 24:36 36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Moses looked forward to Jesus

We spoke before about how the books of the old testament, or the "Jewish Bible", painted a picture of the new covenant that was to come. Jesus often used early scriptures to show his followers that he, "the Messiah", is what those stories were looking forward to. A great example of one Old Testament Saint who was looking forward to Jesus was Moses. In this particular story, God was using Moses to guide the children of Israel through the wilderness, they became impatient and thankless to the Lord, and spoke out against him.

Numbers 21: The Bronze Snake
4 They traveled from Mount Hor along the route to the Red Sea, to go around Edom. But the people grew impatient on the way; 5 they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!”
6 Then the LORD sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died. 7 The people came to Moses and said, “We sinned when we spoke against the LORD and against you. Pray that the LORD will take the snakes away from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.
8 The LORD said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” 9 So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.

Can you see the picture?
An interesting correlation with the Bronze snake story is; from the beginning Satan disguised himself as a snake in the Garden of Eden. This is where he tempted Eve with the original sin, which cursed man to death forever. In this Moses story God used the snake (metaphorically Satan) to "bite" the Israelites and gave them a choice for only one cure.

Nicodemus, recorded in Jewish traditional literature as a well known wealthy and holy man, was a follower of Jesus. When Nicodemus asked how he could have eternal life, Jesus to told him he had to be born again of the spirit to enter the kingdom of heaven. Then he goes on to make this statement John 3:14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”

Satan and his sin are the "poisonous bite" between man and God and the outcome is death eternal, the only cure is to look toward Jesus. Jesus was talking about being lifted up on the cross for the world to see and believe. A picture identical to that of Moses' day. Prophesied and fulfilled by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross.

God's character never changed
The sad and true fact about this, is many people today just don't want to accept Jesus as truth. Here are some common excuses they come up with; I believe all faiths lead to Heaven, Jesus Christ was just a wise man and good teacher, or I don't believe God would send people to Hell, I live a good life , what goes around comes around...

Though these things are what most people want, it is absolutely not God's character! HE IS WHO HE IS! or from the Lord himself I AM WHO I AM! The first written documentation of interaction between God and man is the Bible. Since God is eternal we have to accept that his character stayed the same all the way back from the days of Moses up until Jesus, and even today. If God sends snakes to poison you, and says you have a choice to live or die, do you look at the ground? Or perhaps a Statue of Buddha? OF COURSE NOT! You do exactly as he says, and you look forward to Christ and you live.
John 14:6 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

A case for creation - Biological Machines

If you understand anything about how machines work, you will really love this chapter from the movie "The Case for a Creator" by Lee Strobel. This scene falsifies Darwin's theory... Please take the time to watch this video, it will be worth it...  Lee Strobel was a Lawyer/Skeptic/Atheist whose wife became a Christian in a woman's group.  Afraid he would lose her, he went on a 2 year investigation to disprove God using historical and scientific facts. At the end of the 2 years he took all the facts and came to the conclusion that God is real and that Jesus Christ is the true and only savior of the World.

What Qualifies You for Eternal Life?

  •  You have lied or continue telling lies
  • You've lost everything you have in the recession
  • You are addicted to drugs or alcohol
  • You are living in sexual immorality
  • You've murdered someone
  • Your heart is filled with hate
  • You've been abused
  • You don't understand why people die
  • You've done everything wrong your whole life
  • You are hiding something
  • You've hurt someone so bad and want forgiveness
  • You've hurt someone so bad but don't think you need forgiveness
  • You've lost your first love in Christ and you want to come back today
  • You think that you're not a sinner
  • You don't think you deserve it
  • You know there has to me more than what you can see
If you read all of these and none of these people are you, then congratulations! You qualify because you are lying!  The Bible tells us there's not one righteous, NO NOT ONE!  And that is why Jesus Christ had to bear the sins of the World on the cross in order for us to be forgiven. The Apostle Paul made this absolutely clear here in Galatians 2:20-21 / 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

So the question remains how can you obtain eternal life? Ride bicycles and knock on doors ? NOPE! Go to confession and recite 8 billion hail Mary's? NOPE!!! Go to church every Sunday and check the box? NOPE! Give everything you own to the starving children? Unfortunately not!  There's just one way, be saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

If you need more info on Jesus before this prayer please search HISTORICAL JESUS on this page, Otherwise read this prayer and mean it in your heart and he will hear it and change you forever.

Dear Jesus, I know that I'm a sinner.
Please forgive me for what I've done.
I believe you died for the sins of the world
and on the third day you were raised from the dead.
Please come into my life and forever change me
in Jesus Christ name, amen!

A Whale of a Tale - 3rd Look "the sign of Jonah"

We have recently explored the story of Jonah, Running from God, and the scientific possibility of surviving his journey. If you haven't yet please scroll down to read the last two posts .On our 3rd look at this story we're going to see fulfilled prophecy and fulfillment of the law in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Sign of Jonah
God talks to us through his word, and Jesus constantly used the word of God to teach lessons and prove points to the people of his day. Jesus himself even quoted the Old testament scriptures when challenged by Satan in the wilderness:

Mathew 4
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.
Jesus could predict the future, when confronted by the religious leaders of his day he uses the well known Story of Jonah as a metaphor for what was going to happen to him when he was killed.

 Mathew 12
38 Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.” 39 He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Of course Jesus performed many signs, like healing the afflicted and feeding the hungry, which were all for the good of God. In this circumstance the Pharisees just wanted to condemn him under religious law for some sort of blasphemy or working on the Sabath day.

Jesus verified Jonah's validity
The story of Jonah had to be true because Jesus believed it was. If Jonahs story was fable Jesus wouldn't have been able to use it as reference to his crucifixion to come. When being accused of breaking religious law, Jesus said that Moses wrote the law but he came to fulfill the law. The old testament story of Jonah painted a picture of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Many religious people didn't believe in the Messiah, even Jesus' own earthly brother didn't believe in him until he met him in his resurrected state.  If you believe in anything Jesus did you have to recognize everything he said to also be 100% accurate. If Jesus wasn't sinless, then he wasn't God, therefore him dieing for the sins of the Earth was just another dead man on a Roman cross.
Old Testament Picture
The bible says that Hell is in the center of the Earth,
when Jesus died his soul descended to the lower parts of the Earth.
Another Old Testament picture is painted of Jesus Resurrection

Psalm 16 NKJV
10 For You will not leave my soul in Sheol (HELL),
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
 11 You will show me the path of life;
         In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

A Whale of Tale - Jonah, 2nd Look

Exploring the possibility of living 38 hrs inside a Whale

After hearing the STORY of Jonah in the last post, some people are probably thinking that is absurd! How could someone live inside the belly of whale for three days? Is it ? We will take a look at this STORY from a scientific standpoint to see if it is in deed possible to survive in a whale's belly without divine intervention.

Oxygen Intake
The whale is an air breathing mammal. It has nostrils on top of it's head and it voluntarily surfaces to take a breath when it chooses. Having said this, if a whale were to keep it's mouth closed after swallowing a person, it would stop any water from entering it's belly.

Anatomy of the Stomach
The Whale actually has 3 stomach chambers; the forestomach, main stomach, two connecting chambers and a pyloric stomach. The importance in this study of this stomach pattern is that the forestomach  acts as a holding cell for later meals. A study performed on the systematic importance of the whale's stomach showed that there is little digestion in the forestomach, any digestion is caused by reflux of the main stomach fluids.

 James Bartley and Jonah
There is an old story about a man named James Bartley who was said to have survived being swallowed by a whale in 1891, but his skin was bleached and he went blind. In Jonahs prayer he said "The engulfing waters threatened me, the deep surrounded me; seaweed was wrapped around my head. " Its said that the seaweed such as kelp could of protected him from the digestive process allowing him to be released with little bodily damage.
Scientifically possible or not we believe !
When it comes to the word of God, we don't have to know things are physically possible to believe in them. That's what faith is all about; reading the word and believing what it says. If God were to reach down from Heaven for the whole world to see, his presence would be undoubtedly so, therefore eliminating the need for faith.

Hebrews 11

1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see

3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

A Whale of a Tale - Jonah 1st look

Jonah was swallowed by a fish,
he made quite a tasty dish,
freedom was his only wish,
from his watery jail....

If you haven't heard the story of Jonah it goes like this: Jonah was told by God to preach the good news of God to a certain group of people. He didn't want to do God's will, so he tried to run away as far as he could go, he got onto a boat and a storm came, so the crew threw him in the water. At the very moment he went in, he was swallowed up into the belly of a great whale or fish for 3 days. Jonah prayed to his Lord God and he was spat onto dry land.
And after all was said and done, he did God's will...

Have you ever tried to run from God ? Sometimes in life we know what is truly right but we choose to do things our way. One thing that believers around the world will agree on, is when you are saved you can't run from God. He knows and sees all things. He will literally pick you up and put you in your place. Sometimes we get mad at God because we want to make our own decisions, but God's love is too great. We may think we were better off, but time always tells the whole STORY.  When we sit down and look back on those situations we can see why and how much better off we are. Praise God for saving us from immanent disaster in what WE wanted!  It is said, for the believer's lives; God works all things together for good.

ISAIAH 55:7-8
7 Let the wicked forsake their ways
   and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon.  8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
            declares the LORD.

The Garden of Eden - Todays Abundant Energy Source

In the beginning
Pretty much everyone in America has heard the story of Adam and Eve and the Garden of Eden. Although many have heard it, most don't believe it to be literal, they think of it as an ancient fairy tale. This story to the believer is the beginning of all things, the creation of the earth and the first breath of man. To you who believe its fable, you may want to re-evaluate your thought process based on modern day proofs...

Evolution is a theory not a fact
Our Universe screams intelligent design from the "Big Bang" to "Cell multiplication and anatomy". If you are to mention the word "Creation" or "Intelligent Design" in the modern world of science today you will be exiled out of University's, Job's, and Publications. Which further proves creation! If it were just an opinion or possible theory why would it be so condemned? Likewise if Jesus Christ isn't Lord than why has he become the only name used in place of profanity... It's obvious who's in control of Science today. The BIBLE calls Satan "the Prince of the power of the air" That's media, politics, and every bit of information traveling through the air today.

Today's Oil Supply; Proof of Geographical Eden and Noah's Flood
The BIBLE tells us of the abundance of Eden's plant and mineral life. As far as the location of the garden the BIBLE gives a great idea of where it was, shown on the map below.
The Worlds largest energy source today is Petroleum Oil. According to generally accepted theory, petroleum is derived from ancient biomass. Biomass is basically plant matter which has been fossilized by mud and time. The Earths 2nd largest oil reserve is found right in the geographical location of the BIBLES Eden.. In order for there to be large amounts of oil in the middle east, there once had to be incredibly vast vegetation, which was at some point buried by a massive amount of water and mud. To have known of such a place as Eden, people must have been alive during a time of  a "GREEN MIDDLE EAST". This makes a young 6,000 year old Earth, which had to be destroyed by a great flood extremely possible . Time and time again the BIBLE doesn't go against scientific fact but in direct relation to it.
“God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’”
JOB 37:56

Theres No Greater Act of Love than this

Melrose Honors Unsung Hero at Mt. Hood
Major Doak Weston and Family
For the last 65 years, California native Mike Weston has carried a rough idea of the circumstances surrounding his father’s death in a plane crash at Mount Hood in Melrose: Maj. Doak Weston was flying somewhere north of Boston when his plane’s engine caught fire, and Weston ordered his crew to bail out before it went down.

Stationed at Grenier Field in Londonderry, N.H., Weston and his crew were making a routine flight to Boston when their plane’s left engine caught fire. Unable to put out the flames, Weston ordered his crew to eject and parachute to safety.

Weston, however, remained in the cockpit, guiding the plane away from populated parts of Saugus and Melrose. Witnesses reported that there was “ample time for the pilot to leave the controls and save himself,” and that the plane “had been maneuvered upward in a successful attempt to clear a residential section, before crashing on the isolated golf course of Mount Hood ...” according to an official accident report.

We can all learn a lesson about love from Major Doak Weston.. How many of us are willing to lay down our lives for our friends? Spouses and Children maybe, friends unlikely, complete strangers by chance, don't think so... Jesus Christ himself the Prince of peace made this statement:

13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
Major Doak Weston performed the greatest act of love the Bible ever mentioned, and if he believed in Jesus Christ he would receive the "Crown of Life" in Heaven.

Indonesian volcano unleashes biggest eruption yet

Women screamed and children cried as they were loaded into trucks while rocks and debris rained from the sky. Several abandoned homes were set ablaze and the carcasses of incinerated cattle littered the scorched slopes.

"This is an extraordinary eruption, triple from the first" on Oct. 26, Surono, a state volcanologist, said.
"We have no idea what's happening now," said Surono, a state volcanologist and among those who had been predicting a drop in activity. "It looks like we may be entering an even worse stage now. ... It's up to Merapi from here."
In addition to the eruptions there has been several massive earthquakes from 6.0-7.2 in the last 2 weeks in Indonesia. Although the Volcanologist has no idea what's happening, us evangelicals no exactly whats going on. Pastor Ray Bentley, of Maranatha Chapel in San Diego Ca once said : "Blessed is the spiritual man, for he knows all things" And its true, as Christians, when these things happen we don't go looking for explanations like changes in global climate ect... We look to the author of the book which predicts the future accurately 100% of the time; THE BIBLE...

Jesus Said according to the end times in LUKE 21 11 There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

What it means to be "Not of this World"

Have you heard the phrase?
If you haven't, you've certainly seen the Brand name LOGO on the a back of an SUV or on a stylish (ed hardy/affliction) looking t-shirt.
Sure, using a cool phrase from the Bible can be a good way to sell capital goods. Not to mention a really neat and cryptic way for a Christian to declare their faith to the world without looking "Religious". But what does it mean to be Not of this World? We must first explore what it means to be OF THIS WORLD.

Here is the world in a heartbeat : money, power, lust, personal gain, idolatry, violence, greed, wants, things, MTV, Vanity fair, alcohol, drugs, and death. Did we miss anything? Oh yes, last and most importantly the ruler of the World "THE DEVIL."
 12Therefore rejoice, you heavens
and you who dwell in them!
But woe to the earth and the sea,
because the devil has gone down to you!
   He is filled with fury,
because he knows that his time is short."

8Again, the devil took Jesus to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9"All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me."
A lot of  Christians don't acknowledge or understand that the World is allowed to Satan by God himself. And he will remain the ruler until the return of the Lord, where Satan is locked up and then eventually cast into eternal fire forever!!! Victory !! But in the mean time we need  to be weary of this World and not let it overcome us, that we are caught and defiled by the schemes of the Devil himself. Jesus says to the worldly pharisees:  44You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire.

In John Chapter 8 Jesus tells the religious leaders of that time : And He was saying to them, " You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world. So what is he saying ? Jesus is proclaiming that he is of heaven, and as Christians forgiven and accepted into Eternal life, so are we. We are not to store up riches here on Earth where they rust and get eaten by moths, we are to store our riches in heaven.

So, are we to go on with our lives in boredom doing nothing fun, secluded from society? OF COURSE NOT!! That would be impossible...

The apostle John says in 1 John 2:15
Do not love the world nor the things in the world If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. We must acknowledge that the World is Dieing, nothing on Earth will last. We can't take "things" with us when we die. We can partake in all kinds of fun things here on Earth but we must know in our hearts that there is more out there, that someday soon we will be forever glorified on high.

A Case for Creation - Adam the Ant

Once upon a time there lived an Ant whose name was Adam. Adam was the best at what he did; he built a great kingdom of luxurious tunnels to dwell in. On the 7th day of every week, food crystals and water drops would fall from the sky. With these blessings Adam had just enough to stay alive and healthy so he could continue building his great kingdom.
A long time had passed and Adam grew very lonely, he was the only of his kind and longed for someone to share his kingdom with. He hoped and wished someone would fall from the sky to join him in his land.

Then  on a certain 7th day when the crystals fell, so came another, a beautiful female who he called Eve. The two Ants eventually learned to love each other and spent the rest of their days in perfect peace and  harmony.                                                                                         The End

This portrayal is really as simple as it gets. The non believer thinks they're the center of their own universe. How could anything else be out there? They refuse to believe in a God because they can't see him.  They need physical hard evidence, they have no faith.  These people couldn't possibly imagine someone so great to control all things.... A simple story that could be understood by a child is all it takes to see the Kingdom of God. Jesus said; "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven".

You see, Adam the ant lived in an ant farm.  When the 7th day came, a boy put sugar and drops of water into his cage. He ate, he drank, but he didn't know where it was coming from. When the female was given to him, he didn't know that he wasn't the only ant in the universe, he only knew what he could see. Could an ant imagine the brain power or capability of a human being? Of course NOT! As a boy can manipulate all things in the world of an ant without him seeing, knowing, or understanding how, so can God in the lives of humans. The typical human is said to use 2% of their brain, imagine if we could use 50% or 100% even, it makes perfect sense thet were created for far beyond what we can see today. It's not our job to try and figure out how God works, its unfathomable to us. You can rest assure he is there and you can trust him.

Psalm 24
Of David. A psalm.
1 The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it,
       the world, and all who live in it;
2 for he founded it upon the seas
and established it upon the waters.

Isaiah 55

8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
       declares the LORD.

9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Starving African Villagers Trade Daughters as Sacrafice to feed their Families

MASVINGO - As hunger wrecks havoc in arid Masvingo province,  some desperate and starving villagers in Chikombedzi in the Low-veld district of Chiredzi are giving their daughters away in marriage for as little as ten bags of maize each to elderly  businessmen.

In a visit to Chikombedzi last week, the Daily News learnt with shock that some villagers claiming to have harvested very little maize last season due to poor rains and input shortages are exchanging girls as young as 14 to elderly businessmen for maize or maize meal.

The businessmen cross the border into South Africa where they buy large stocks of maize meal to sell to the starving villagers.

Most of the villagers cannot pay in cash so they end up exchanging their daughters for maize meal.

Some of the young girls are given away in marriage for 10 bags of maize each.

“We have no option that’s why we are trading our daughters this way because we can’t let the rest of the family starve to death. In any  case ,the girl child will get married and leave the family, so we don’t see any problem with that,” said Hlalati Baloyi of Mhlanguleni village.

Chief Chilonga from the same district was quick to defend the practice by his people saying nothing was amiss as it is part of traditiona and is called kuroodza mwana which is done during times of crisis like drought.

“I don’t think this should attract debate from people in the country. What we are doing is not something out of this world if we are to consider some of our  traditional practices. You know very well that our fore fathers did this sort of thing, especially in times of drought and here we are experiencing it so we cant let our families die when tradition allows us to give away our daughters  in marriage," said Chief Chilonga.

He said that his people will only stop the practice if they get food aid from the government.

The Daily News understands that some donor oaganisations were forced to pull out of the area  by Zanu PF officials who accused them of pushing the regime change agenda in cahoots with MDC.

Efforts to get a comment from the  Provincial Adminstrator Felix Chikovo were fruitless.

Children rights groups have criticised the villagers and urged  the government to take action as the practice was violating the girl child rights.

Sungano Zvarebwanashe, a representative of  The Girl-Child Network in Masvingo said the government should see that those who forced their daughters into such
marriages should be arrested and tried.

“Government should instruct police to arrest all those who are doing this. They are violating children rights by forcing minors into marriages with old men who already have their wives. It is utter rubbish to claim that they were doing a traditional practice in this modern world,” she said.

She added that besides violating child rights the young girls were exposed to the risk of teh deadly HIV and AIDS from these men as some have scores of partners .

This is truly heart aching, us Americans just don't realize how good we have it. We can't even make up our minds to what we are going to eat for our next meal. The worst part about this is the rumors that these men are not really taking them into marriage, but selling them into sexual slavery. The world we live in is so terrible and Demonic!!

The only one thing we can rely on is God's word. There is hope in the Morning Light ; the bible says that the day is closer than ever when things will be made new and the planet wiped clean of all sin and destruction..

Signs of the end age from Jesus :
Luke 21 11There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

Ben Stein - Remarks from CBS Sunday Morning

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.

My confession: I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are, Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it
. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu . If people want a creche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away..

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Hurricane Katrina). Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'

In light of recent events..... terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.

Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says 'Thou shalt not kill'; 'Thou shalt not steal,' and 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem. We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said okay. (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide.)

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet?
Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not, then just discard it . . . no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.

My best regards, honestly and respectfully,
Ben Stein
