Hope in No Other Name

The hardest things to possibly endure is losing a child. Levi Lusko and his wife lost there 5 year daughter just a couple weeks ago. Amazingly Levi is up on stage speaking about his faith in Jesus, and that she lives on ! !

Connecticut Shooting - 27 Dead

NEWTOWN, Conn. — A shooting at a Connecticut elementary school Friday left 27 people dead, including 20 children, an official said.

Words cannot express how OBJECTIVELY wrong such a thing is!

Our  Prayers go out to the families and all of the people who were involved in this terrible tragedy.

Only Christianity can offer some hope for these family's and Children.

God has brought these children into eternal bliss and they will some day be reunited with the people who love them.

Objective Morality - Fact or Fiction ?

THE LIE - there is no good

  "The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind pitiless indifference."

We must understand what this statement implies :

There is no good or evil in the world, therefore there is no such thing as objective morality. If objective morality doesn't exist, then there's no such thing as right or wrong. There fore the Holocaust wasn't wrong but just socially taboo!!

Who could really believe such a thing?

This is the best that natural science has to offer. Neo-Darwinism cannot give us objective moral values or duties just " blind pitiless indifference."


THE TRUTH - evil proves God

  1. If evil exists, then good must exist.

  2. Evil really does exist.

  3. Therefore good really does exist.

 4. If good really exists, it must have some sort of  transcendent grounding.

 5. The only possible transcendent grounding agent is God.

 6. Therefore God exists!!

THE SCRIPTURE - no excuses but your own

Pascal's Wager

Since the existence of God cannot be proved or disproved through reason, and there is much to be gained from wagering that God exists and little to be gained from wagering that God doesn’t exist, a rational person should simply wager that God exists and live accordingly.

Here are multiple reasons why it makes more sense to consider Pascals Wager over non belief.

1. Science, no matter how advanced it gets can never disprove God

2. The odds of the universe popping into existence from nothing, then immediately being fine tuned within life permitting parameters are astronomical! (less than total number of particles in the entire universe itself, or 15 billion years worth of seconds)

3. If God exists and Christianity is true, your life on earth is so infinitesimally short compared to Eternity, what little suffering you endure for your faith will become milliseconds. (relatively)

4. If you accept Christ, live according to his teachings, only to find God doesn't exist in death. You still led a good life, more than likely had a lot of people who cared about and thought highly of your character.

5. And finally if you reject God completely, and in death find the truth of what the Bible claims, there is no possible sin, lifestyle, or lifetime that could ever be worth eternal separation from God.

Conclusion 

These premises are all true therefore the conclusion follows; choose Christ. what else? If you sincerely seek him then you won't have to use wagers or arguments to rationally believe, he will make himself known to you.

Deuteronomy 4:29
²⁹ But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. 

Not objective to "the world" but logical none the less

It is said that an argument is what convinces reasonable men and a proof is what it takes to convince even an unreasonable man. Well, you be the judge of which category you fall into to.  It is perfectly rational to believe in God without any argument other than self revelation, or in other words the immediate knowledge of God. This may not be an objective proof but it is compelling none the less.

This morning I randomly woke up with a Christian song in my head "All my Fountains" and have been singing it ever since. I haven't recently heard this song so there is no good "natural explanation" as to why it sprung into my mind. On the way to work this morning I decided to go on Youtube and find the song so I could listen and sing it out loud on the way to work. After the song was over for some reason I felt the urge to email it to my sister, who has recently come to a supernatural life changing relationship with Christ.

This is how she replied :

Man, you don't even know! A few weeks after you took me to church the first time at harvest.. Greg Laurie was talking about "have you ever woke up in the morning with a praise song in your head?" And I thought to myself.. nope! Which I never listened to praise music before anyway and then... A couple weeks later it was raining out all night and I woke up to that song in my head! All my fountains! By Chris tomlin.. it was a really special thing to me.. because it had never happened before.. I told mom.. she knows! and that was the very FIRST Christian song I started listening too! And because of that song, I started liking the music and then you gave me the ipod and you know the rest from there.. Hahah.. wow man. I love you.. I played that song out crazy for a while! Ask my Son and Daughter , they know it by heart too ;) haven't heard it for a while.. but I woke up early this morning and for some reason I put it on! Wow.. then you sent it to me ;) you made my day man.. love ya!

Yes this isn't an objective argument for Christianity and yes it may not be an argument at all. But its the truth and once you give your life to Christ, these things happen all the time. It gives you purpose, it keeps you going, and it sets you free. Join us..........
